Moreno Valley sits within the Riverside County limits and is, by comparison, a relatively young city. However, the area began to grow in popularity very quickly, and Moreno Valley soon became the second-largest city in Riverside County.
Since the early 2000s, economic growth has consumed the area, with new malls, communities, and businesses paving the way for a growing population. The talk of the city, however, has recently been focused on the newest businesses to stake their claim: marijuana dispensaries.
After the legalization of recreational marijuana was passed in California, Moreno Valley began to change. The city council agreed to welcome 27 commercial pot enterprises into their storefronts, with 8 of those being dispensaries.
The move was welcomed by locals, who even motioned to have even more dispensaries opened in the area. These changes have been great for the city; however, not everyone has considered the most pressing issue with these new businesses.
First Security Services provide protection to the people and businesses across the state of California. After the legalization of marijuana, our team recognized the need for stronger, more aggressive security measures for the new cannabis-related businesses (CRB) across the state.
What made the increased need for protection obvious, was the fact that marijuana is such an in- demand product; not to mention, it is one that was already being bought and sold within illegal businesses.
Having marijuana accessible in storefronts was sure to upset the flow of the illegal market, putting legal cannabis-related businesses—and their workers—in a considerable amount of danger.
In response to the need for more robust cannabis protection, we began to put together a team of marijuana security guards. They would be working within what is now called the Special Services Division, and it would be a division focused on the cannabis industry across California.
The division is comprised of men and women who were mainly prior and/or Retired or Reserve Military Personnel, as well as individuals who have been trained specifically for the cannabis industry.
By creating a team with substantial knowledge of and experience in the cannabis industry, businesses in Moreno Valley are more likely to experience safe, successful operations day in and day out.
Some of the training this division has received for their duties includes:
While the Special Services Division has been trained for combat, First Security Services ensures that force is only used as a last resort in any situation. The main goal of this unit is to prevent any and all theft, violence or crime from happening in the first place.
What makes this unit so unique, is the additional training that has been done in access control. This training is completed in accordance with the Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC), as well as County and City Cannabis Regulations.
Our cannabis security plan ensures that your business, as well as its assets and workers, will be well-protected in every aspect of their job. Our security goes beyond a few guards strolling around your business.
In fact, our Special Services Division is capable of providing 420 security both on and off the property, so that every daily task is safe from threats. The following is a list of the extensive services we provide:
It isn’t always easy to recognize what needs to be done to keep your business safe from threats. That’s why our Special Services Division provides consultations for all of the cannabis-related businesses in Moreno Valley.
During a consultation, the team will assess your business’s property, as well as the daily tasks that need to be done. They will be able to recognize any exposed areas in your building and practices, and they will make suggestions to properly remove these potential hazards.
In addition to improving security, the Special Services Division has been educated on all state laws regarding cannabis-related businesses. That being said, they have the ability to point out any issues with protocol within your business. Some key features they’ll look for include:
Not locking your doors can be a danger to the safety of your store, but avoiding state and county laws is just as hazardous!
The Special Services Divison can assist you with both of these aspects, by implementing a unique risk management plan for your store. This will ensure that your business is running safely, and according to code.
We are proud to be one of the first Cannabis Security Forces in California with “best practices” for security. Although our tactics are being shared across the country, we still maintain that we are a “referral-only” division.
Instead of advertising for business, we let our clients spread the word for us. We work with all different people and businesses across Moreno Valley, simply because of the reviews being shared about our level of experience, professionalism, and knowledge in the security industry.
